Sunday May 24, 2015

A little warmer this morning, 49 degree’s, wind 15 to 20 mph.

Larry’s up and coffee is ready.  Michael already has the flags flying.

We have ran out of a few items: coffee & butter, so no making cookies today.

As we sat and drank the last of our coffee, we reviewed the list of projects that are to be done.  I’ve made a copy and will be emailing it to the office.

Larry, Michael and Cyndy have headed to the cove, going to walk from cobble stone area around the east end of the island and to the cove.  I stayed to work on my post.  Had a little trouble with it last night and this morning, but finally got it to post this morning.
Sea Glass Larry found while down at the cove

I’ve found a few Biblical scriptures, that speaks of the what we are experiencing out here on the ocean.  I want to share one each Sunday, so here is the first of sixteen.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

A beautiful day to rest, but Larry couldn’t stand it and went to weedeat the path to the lighthouse from the cove.

He then came in and started dinner, Chicken Pot Pie!  We just happened to have enough ingredients to make another dump cake.  It was suppose to be a surprise for Michael and Cyndy, but the smell soon filled the house.

The view from my desk as I write my post
The view to the east from our front door
This is a chair that has been out here for we know 55 yrs, this view is from my desk
Our grandson, Landyn called….he’s only 2, but he was missing his papaw and even got a little teary talking, both Landyn and Larry.  It was good to hear his little voice.  The family told us that we have a new calf…number 6!

Another beautiful sunset, flags taken down and folded and a card game with our new friends.  They have to leave a little after eleven in the morning.  It will be a sad moment; we have really enjoyed spending this time with them.
My favorite view, from the dining room, between the our kitchen and the tower
