Day 53

Heaven knows the temp or wind speed…..grandbabies are here and I don’t have time to look at that stuff!

It’s a beautiful day, clear skies and a slight wind, thinking it might even get a little warm today.  It has been a little hazy along the horizon for several days. I would like for it to clear before the kids leave.

Breakfast….English muffins, sausage links and scrambled eggs.

We went straight down to the cove to go “sea glass” searching.

When we got there, we had three, T.J., Alex, and another guy, coast guard gentlemen working in the sand.  They were here to “check” the exposed electric thing we saw weeks ago.  We told them what we knew.  Apparently there are “two” wires that are dead: the old phone line (from when we were here in 1960) and the other was a dead electrical line.  So they dug the bad one up and then buried it with heavy rocks.  Fixed!!

While down at the cove “playing”, several visitors came and I helped them ashore.  Then another boat arrived and I figured it was our overnight guest…Nick and Stacy Bottinelli and their two daughters….They were the Seguin Keepers in 1997…before kids and this was the first time for their daughters to come.  Anyway, I rowed out and got them and during the transaction, Dave, who had brought them out gave me a ride back to Fort Popham so I could help get my other son and his family out here.  Dave was a God sent!  Thank you!

Ethan came with a large group and I was so thankful that Cyndy had come with the group, she gave tours until Larry and I were able to come up.

Landyn our grandson, who just turned two, kept pointing up the tower and saying “Up”.  Guess they have been getting ready for this trip for a long time.

We talked and compared “Keeper” stories with Nick and Stacy.  They daughters had fun with my granddaughter and they even went on a few trails together.

Lunch…not sure we took time to eat.

Dinner…OMG, Larry made Chicken pot pie “&” Lobster Pot
Pie from the left over lobster from the other night.

Our daughter Katie and our grandson Kaleb helped me take the flag down.

Watched the sunset and got everyone, “12” a spot to sleep, I think we are going to have to double up a few beds.

I am so glad to have my family here with us to experience this island with us.
